Windy City（ウィンディ・シティ）は、2004年に結成された韓国の先駆的レゲエ・ソウル・バンドです。
ルーツ・レゲエ、ファンク、ラテン・ブーガルー、ジャズ、そして韓国伝統リズムを、深みのあるサウンドとグルーヴで融合し、独自の音楽性を築いてきました。

デビュー・アルバム『Love Record』は、2006年韓国大衆音楽賞にて最優秀R&B／ソウル・アルバムを受賞。続く『Countryman’s Vibration』『Janchi Reggae / Mosimnida』を通じて、韓国的レゲエのアイデンティティをさらに確立しました。

国内外の主要フェスティバルで高い評価を受ける一方、ダブ、アフロビート、さらにはシャーマニズム的要素まで探求し続けています。
近年は、英国On-U SoundのAdrian Sherwoodによるダブミックス「市場に行こう( Si Jang e gaja）」、日本の2Shantiによる「パキムチ・カクテキ( Pa Kimchi Kkakdugi）」を発表し、バンドの新たな活気ある章を切り開いています。

Windy City is a pioneering Korean reggae-soul band formed in 2004.
Blending roots reggae, funk, Latin boogaloo, jazz, and traditional Korean rhythms with deep, organic sound and groove, the band has crafted a distinctive musical identity.

Their debut album Love Record won Best R&B & Soul Album at the 2006 Korean Music Awards, followed by Countryman’s Vibration and Janchi Reggae / Mosimnida, which further solidified a uniquely Korean voice in reggae.

Widely acclaimed at major festivals in Korea and abroad, Windy City continues to explore dub, Afrobeat, and even shamanistic influences through a series of singles.
Recent releases include “Si Jang e gaja,” dub-mixed by Adrian Sherwood of On-U Sound (UK), and “Pa Kimchi Kkakdugi,” dub-mixed by Japan’s 2Shanti, opening a vibrant new chapter for the band.
